Who We Are!
Elementl Power Inc. is an advanced nuclear project developer and independent power producer, building scalable pathways for clean, resilient energy. We break the stalemate in advanced nuclear deployment by delivering turnkey development, financing, and ownership solutions, empowering customers to access nuclear power without the burden of operating assets.
The Opportunity.
We're excited to add an Energy / Infrastructure Investment Analyst to our growing investments team! Reporting to the VP, Investments, you'll play a key role in supporting the evaluation, execution, and ongoing management of financial and commercial aspects across Elementl Power's portfolio as we scale our advanced nuclear and clean energy infrastructure business.
We're looking for someone with strong analytical instincts, advanced financial modeling skills, and a genuine passion for the energy transition. You know how to navigate complex capital structures and project finance transactions, and how to turn detailed analysis into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
You'll contribute directly to capital raising efforts, diligence processes, and day-to-day investment operations, partnering closely with development, finance, legal, and external capital partners to advance Elementl's clean energy mission.
What You'll Do!
Investment Analysis & Financial Modeling
- Lead financial modeling efforts in Excel to evaluate investment opportunities, including project returns, NPV, IRR, debt sizing, tax equity structures, and power purchase agreement pricing.
- Assess capital structures across a range of energy assets including nuclear, renewables, and broader energy infrastructure.
- Conduct counterparty credit analysis and risk assessments in support of investment decisions.
- Monitor and analyze energy market transactions to identify key trends in pricing, deal structures, terms, and best practices.
Transaction Support & Capital Formation
- Support the execution of investment transactions, including preparation of investment memos and supporting analysis for internal approval.
- Prepare high-quality marketing materials and data packages for capital raising, debt, and tax equity proposals.
- Actively manage data rooms to ensure required materials are complete, organized, and accessible for third-party reviewers.
- Assist in coordinating diligence processes with external capital partners, lenders, and advisors.
Portfolio Monitoring
- Track and report on the financial and operational performance of portfolio investments.
- Maintain investment tracking tools and dashboards to provide leadership with timely, accurate data.
- Support internal budgeting, investor reporting, accounting, and tax activities to ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
Market & Industry Research
- Stay current on energy market developments, regulatory changes, technology advancements, and competitive activity relevant to Elementl Power's investment strategy.
- Monitor nuclear-specific developments, including advanced reactor technologies, SMRs, and evolving regulatory frameworks (e.g., DOE 10 CFR 810, NRC regulations).
- Provide analysis and insights on sector trends to inform investment decisions and strategic planning.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with development, finance, and legal teams to support project financing and investment execution activities.
- Assist in the preparation of materials for board meetings, investor updates, and other senior leadership presentations.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of financial processes and systems across the investment function.
What We're Looking for & Who You Are!
You hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field from an accredited university.
You bring 2–4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, project finance, infrastructure investing, or a comparable analytical role.
You have strong knowledge of corporate finance and project finance principles, and hands-on experience with:
- Complex financial modeling, including NPV, IRR, debt sizing, and tax equity structures
- Transaction support, including investment memo preparation and diligence coordination
- Capital raising processes and marketing material development
- Portfolio monitoring and performance reporting
You're an advanced Excel modeler who can build from scratch and manage complex models with ease, and you bring strong PowerPoint skills for investment committee and counterparty presentations. You have a solid understanding of energy project economics and familiarity with wholesale power markets, commodity pricing, and the evolving energy transition landscape.
Most importantly, you're a detail-oriented, intellectually curious self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, manages multiple priorities with ease, and can communicate complex ideas simply and clearly.
It Would Be Great If:
- You have experience with energy or infrastructure transactions, including renewables, nuclear, or power generation.
- You're familiar with tax equity structures and clean energy financing mechanisms.
- You hold an MBA or advanced degree.
The energy transition needs people who can move fast and think rigorously. If you're ready to help build the financial foundation for the next generation of nuclear energy, we'd love to hear from you!
The base salary range for this role is $110,000–$140,000, and has a bonus opportunity.
