Reporting
- Prepare and present recurring project financial reports, including budget updates, forecasts, cash flow analyses, and variance commentary for senior management and stakeholders.

Audit Support
- Assist with internal and external audits by compiling supporting documentation, responding to inquiries, and ensuring records are accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
- Maintain organized backup for project transactions, billings, and cost substantiation to support compliance requirements, including DOE-financial assisted awards, or government-regulated accounting environments where applicable.

What We're Looking For and Who You Are!
We’re explicitly looking for experienced project accountants who have worked in highly regulated, capital-intensive environments. This is not a generic staff accounting role, this position supports nuclear project development, where financial accuracy, discipline, and compliance are critical to project credibility and execution.
- You bring 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in project accounting or project cost accounting, preferably supporting large infrastructure, energy, construction, or engineering projects.
- You have direct experience managing project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis, and you understand how project financial performance ties to schedule, scope, and execution risk.
- You have supported monthly close activities for project-based organizations, including accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting, and you are comfortable operating in a GAAP-driven environment with tight deadlines.
- You have hands-on experience with billing and revenue recognition, including reviewing billings, supporting accurate revenue recognition under contract terms, and coordinating with project teams to resolve billing or cost issues.
- You are comfortable working across project management, engineering, and finance, acting as a financial partner who can translate project activity into clear, decision-ready financial information.
- You bring experience working under internal controls and audit requirements, and you understand the importance of documentation, traceability, and audit readiness in regulated environments.
- You are detail-oriented, organized, and accountable, and you can manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously without losing accuracy or judgment.
- You are a clear communicator who can explain project financial performance to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Export Control: Must be able to comply with U.S. export control regulations, including DOE 10 CFR 810 and applicable NRC requirements.
- It Would Be Great If
- You have experience supporting projects in nuclear, energy, infrastructure, construction, or other highly regulated industries.
- You’ve worked with ERP or project accounting systems such as NetSuite, Deltek Costpoint, SAP, or similar.
- You have exposure to DOE-financial assisted awards, or government-regulated accounting environments.
- You’ve supported external audits and are comfortable responding to auditor requests and inquiries.
This isn’t a back-office accounting role. If you want to be embedded with project teams, drive financial clarity, and hold the line on controls and compliance in a nuclear development environment, let's talk!
The base salary range for this role is $90,000 - $125,000 with a bonus opportunity.
