The Tech team at zolar ensures that we create a customer-centric environment and a positive contribution to the climate. Our focus is to develop software that provides and enhances new - and in some cases previously untapped - opportunities for climate action, and generates business value. Each of our development teams take full responsibility for a specific product, independently ensuring that the software is delivered quickly as well as functionally and completely.

Our tech stack at zolar consists of: PHP( Symfony ), MySQL, Kafka for the server side and TypeScript, React, Redux for frontend applications. Our cloud provider of choice is AWS and you might encounter AWS Lambdas, DynamoDB, S3, etc.

Your role at zolar:

• As a DevOps Engineer at zolar, you will work in tandem with our Software Engineers to ultimately give our customers the best experience when using our online tools that make residential home solar energy system installations easy and convenient.
• Your goal will be to support the Engineering teams in shipping features to production quickly and reliably. Together with the team, you will drive improvements to our development platform offering, focusing on quality, reliability and performance of our applications.
• Enabling people to work effectively is important to you - you speak up when you notice issues with deployment processes, coding and security practices, etc. You leverage your security know-how, to help your colleagues make informed decisions and integrate security concerns into their daily work.
• Quality assurance is more than testing strategies for you but can be found in every part of the development process and every role in a team. You are passionate about helping the tech team build high quality products by sharing knowledge in the teams and providing tooling that facilitates quality assurance and test automation as part of your development platform.
• Working with technologies such as: AWS, Typescript, AWS CDK, bash, Docker and many more, you will build scalable and reliable infrastructure tooling together with the DevOps team. While we are excited about your technical skillset, most importantly, we are looking forward to having a new team member with good problem-solving skills, who enjoys sharing their knowledge with others and working in a team that is driven by mission of making renewable energy more convenient.
