We are looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Financial Analyst (Financial Planning & Analysis Associate) to join our team. In this role, you will support financial planning, reporting, and analysis activities that enable informed business decisions and drive operational performance. You will partner cross-functionally to deliver insights, ensure financial accuracy, and continuously improve processes.
Duties & Responsibilities
Supports team development by contributing to hiring, onboarding, training, and coaching efforts.
Contributes to achieving department goals by tracking, analyzing, and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) and action plans.
Supports the development and management of project budgets, annual budgets, and rolling forecasts, ensuring alignment with financial targets such as revenue, gross margin, and capital expenditures.
Performs accurate and timely month-end close activities, including reviewing and posting accounting transactions.
Prepares and records journal entries, including more complex transactions as experience grows.
Maintains the integrity of financial data by following established processes, internal controls, and accounting procedures.
Ensures financial records are compliant with U.S. GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.
Identifies opportunities to improve processes and collaborates with cross-functional partners to implement solutions.
Supports internal & external audit activities as needed.
Able to work under a hybrid model, including able to work onsite at Itron’s Oconee Manufacturing location, with some flexibility to work from home.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
0–3 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, or a related area.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and large data set analysis.
Ability to work both independently & collaboratively across teams.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance partners.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Working knowledge of GAAP & financial compliance requirements.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience supporting operational or business teams.
Familiarity with ERP systems, planning tools, or BI/reporting platforms.
CPA, CFA, or MBA (or progress toward certification).
