As the Data Engineer, Manager on the Alteryx Data & Analytics team, you will lead an innovative and groundbreaking team, responsible for engineering a world class enterprise data management platform and driving continuous improvement for a world class analytics company. You will work closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and business partners to build out new system features/functionality and help bring thoughtfully curated data and solutions that the Alteryx organization can trust. Position Details:

  • Lead and motivate a remote team of experienced Data Engineers to build enterprise pipelines with repeatable, scalable, and resilient processes and designs that deliver the data critical to run our business

  • Closely partner with our Business Engagement Analysts, Data Scientists, and Business Customers to identify, prioritize, scope, and deliver value-driven data solutions

  • Roadmap execution through backlog management and sprint planning in Jira to prioritize value-driven business outcomes

  • Provide daily team support and enablement to ensure timely delivery and integrity of solutions that promote trust in our data

  • Lead the growth and improvement of our highly scalable data management ecosystem to adapt and support the evolving needs of our business partners

  • Use your innate problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and internal drive to continually grow, develop, and hone your craft

  • Be fanatical about the data analytics space and help evangelize our work, team, and Alteryx as a whole!

Need to Have:

  • 3+ years managing a team of 3+ Data Engineers in an enterprise data management environment

  • Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills to remotely manage a team, projects, and business expectations

  • Practical application of data modeling techniques and enterprise ETL/ELT solution design to facilitate technical discussions

  • Ability to succinctly articulate complex data problems/solutions to various levels of business counterparts and senior leadership

  • Strong SQL experience

  • Willingness to learn and build working knowledge of our Alteryx toolset

  • BA/BS degree in Information Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical field

Helpful to Have:

  • Experience with Alteryx platform

  • Experience with Snowflake

  • Experience with Jira and Confluence

  • Experience with automated software testing and deployment

Compensation:​

Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.

  • The salary range for this role in Southern California, Colorado, Washington, and Rhode Island is $136,600-$184,400.

  • The salary range for this role in New York City and Northern California is $149,000-$201,100.

In addition, you may be eligible for additional compensation, such as a bonus and stock grants. Employees may also be eligible for a wide range of other benefits, including medical, retirement, financial, wellness, time off, employee discounts, and others.
