Overview

The Project Manager I will play a critical role in managing and delivering projects within the power sector market. This position is responsible for overseeing project planning, execution, and delivery while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, a solid understanding of the power sector, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.


Responsibilities

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to schedules and budgets
  • Identify and mitigate risks to ensure successful project delivery

Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies
  • Communicate project updates, milestones, and challenges effectively to all stakeholders
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project objectives

Team Leadership:

  • Lead cross-functional project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure successful execution
  • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment
  • Resolve conflicts and address challenges within the team

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Ensure projects meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies
  • Conduct quality checks and audits throughout the project lifecycle
  • Implement corrective actions as needed to maintain project quality

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation
  • Track project performance metrics and identify areas for improvement

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to improve project management processes and methodologies
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in the power sector
  • Contribute to the development of PMO standards and frameworks

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is preferred

Experience:

  • 3–5 years of project management experience, preferably in the power sector or energy industry
  • Proven track record of managing projects from initiation to completion

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar)
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Technical Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with power generation, transmission, and distribution systems
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and environmental considerations in the power sector

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Willingness to travel as needed for project-related activities
