Overview
The Solution Engineer - GIS Developer will focus on designing and developing GIS applications and services using Esri technologies, specifically for non-Utility Network implementations. This role involves creating custom tools, managing spatial data, and ensuring the scalability and performance of GIS solutions
Responsibilities
- Design and develop GIS applications using Esri technologies such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Online.
- Create custom tools and scripts using Python and JavaScript to enhance GIS functionality.
- Publish and manage map services and feature services to support GIS workflows.
- Perform spatial analysis and data processing tasks to meet project requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ensure scalability, performance, and security of GIS applications.
- Document workflows, technical specifications, and best practices for GIS solutions.
- Stay updated on emerging GIS technologies and trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3 to 6 years of experience in GIS development, specifically for non-Utility Network implementations.
- Proficiency in Esri products (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online) and APIs.
- Strong programming skills in Python and JavaScript.
- Experience with geodatabases such as PostgreSQL and Oracle.
- Familiarity with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
