Overview

The Principal /Associate Principal - Presales Manager will provide strategic leadership for GIS projects while supporting business development efforts. This role involves defining project strategies, leading cross-functional teams, and driving innovation in GIS solutions. Additionally, the role includes presales responsibilities such as preparing proposals, conducting product demonstrations, and building client relationships to align GIS solutions with organizational goals.


Responsibilities

  • Define project strategies and roadmaps for GIS implementations.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and manage project deliverables to ensure successful project execution.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align GIS solutions with business objectives and organizational goals.
  • Prepare technical proposals and presentations for GIS solutions.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and proof-of-concept sessions to showcase GIS capabilities.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand client needs and provide tailored GIS solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to drive business growth.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and Esri product advancements.
  • Represent the organization at conferences, client meetings, and industry events to promote GIS solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10 to 14 years of experience in GIS leadership roles, including presales or business development responsibilities.
  • Expertise in Esri products (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online) and solution architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of GIS workflows, industry trends, and client needs.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery and business development.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address client challenges effectively.
