Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager with at least 14 years of software delivery experience in the utility industry to join our Intelligent Grid Solutions (IGS) team.
The Senior Engineering Manager (SM) is a key technical resource on software implementation & integration projects within the Digital utility practice and ensures the technical success of the project. SM will be the offshore AMI practice lead and is responsible for resource forecasting and working on the RFP for AMI. SM is a customer-facing delivery expert, technology-driven, resourceful, deadline-oriented, and has strong analytical and root cause analysis skills. The SM must have worked on at least 2-3 end-to-end RFPs along with the proposal technical writing and effort estimations. The SM works with the solution leads and engineers that support the technical deliverables of the implementation project, including customizations if any, configuring, testing, tracking and managing technical tasks. The SM works closely with other leads and the Project Manager (PM) to ensure that the technical solution meets the customer's needs and business objectives. The SM has deep experience in delivering MDMS projects. The SM ensures that the delivery of the technical solution falls within TRC IGS standard processes and tools.
Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Adheres to the TRC Software Implementation Delivery Methodology.
- Experience in solutioning AMI MDMS RFPs - understanding RFPs, technical proposal writing, effort estimation, etc. Participates in post bid activities including clarifications, support of shortlist presentation, and supporting scope definition in contract development and negotiations.
- Experience in customizing, implementing, and testing Meter Data Management System (MDMS) software. Experience with the Siemens Gridscale X (EnergyIP) software is a must.
- Assists Project Manager with scope management, project planning, milestones, and work and resource estimates.
- Acts as a technical expert in the design of the solution to meet the customer's requirements.
- Develops project deliverables for the Client project team during the design phase
- Participates in services estimation to support pricing for bid and in other parts of the bid response process, as required by bid structure
- Acts as a resource manager with resource forecasting to adhere overall resource utilization.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Technology from an accredited school or university is required
- A minimum of 14 years of software delivery experience is required. Utility industry background is required
- Experience with Gridscale X MDMS (EnergyIP) implementation and delivery of the project.
- Experience working with real-time systems and data connectivity is preferred.
Travel:
- Up to 25% travel throughout India, although there may be some periods in the project where consecutive weeks of travel may be required.
