Overview
TRC is seeking an organized, creative, and flexible proposal manager for our growing Advanced Energy consulting practice. This role requires a clear understanding of the proposal lifecycle, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The proposal manager will serve as the primary point of contact between technical subject matter experts, business development resources, and executive leadership to produce compelling responses to RFPs, RFQs, and other solicitations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the proposal development process in an organized manner, from RFP release to bid submission, including kick-off, content development, SME coordination, reviews, and final production.
- Develop and maintain the proposal schedule, proposal outline and draft(s), and the RFP compliance matrix, ensuring the team meets strict client deadlines.
- Communicate clearly (verbal and written) and coordinate proposal activities across all levels and teams within the organization, including technical contributors, pricing and legal teams, and leadership to develop a cohesive, persuasive RFP response.
- Leverage subject matter expert input, internal AI tools, and the content library to translate complex technical and business information into clear, customer-focused narratives that align with our unique win strategy, differentiators, and value proposition.
- Support follow-up questions and short-list interviews through PowerPoint presentation development and interview team coaching.
- Create visually appealing materials, graphics, tables, and charts that meet brand and client requirements for proposals, presentations, and other client-facing documentation.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills
- Customer-oriented, collaborative, and adaptable contributor
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage time and plan independently while supporting multiple projects with hard deadlines
- Experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
- Experience with the Qorus content management system a plus
- Interest and experience in energy, conservation, or sustainability a plus

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range
