Responsibilities

TRC is growing and seeking a part time Integrity Engineer - to join our Integrity Engineering Services team to support a variety of pipeline integrity management programs throughout the United States. This team member will be focused on pipeline risk, release modeling, and consequence analysis.

The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of Integrity experience in Pipeline or Facility engineering. The candidate should be well versed in Release Modeling techniques and experienced working with Geographic Information System (GIS) applications such as ArcGIS or QGIS. This position is for an experienced engineer desiring to continue to contribute to successful operations of pipeline assets, requiring technical and communication skills, with a focus on client service. Gas and Liquids Pipeline industry experience as well as previous experience working with release modeling software such as CHARM or PHAST and GIS data are required.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze pipeline and GIS data using various software packages and tools used to assess pipeline release consequences
  • Complete pipeline release modeling and write reports
  • Support area classification studies for pipelines per PHMSA regulations
  • Assist with pipeline and facilities integrity program assessments
  • Work closely with clients to ensure projects exceed expectations and requirements
  • Prepare technical reports and assist with proposal development
  • Work seamlessly with internal teams and assist other groups as needed

Qualifications

Education - Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering or related technical field
  • Must have 15+ years of Integrity Engineering experience with at least 5 years of release modeling experience
  • Must have Computation Fluid Dynamics (CFD) experience using Charm or PHAST
  • Experience with Canary is preferred
  • Geographic Information System (GIS) Software (ArcGIS, QGIS)
  • Proficient with MS Office applications
  • Experience working with pipeline networks and facilities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented and committed to delivering quality work with minimum oversight
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel as needed, estimated up to 10%

Preferred Skills (Desired not Required):

  • Working knowledge of pipeline standards and regulations including 49 CFR Parts 192 and 195
  • Database Experience (Oracle, SQL Server, SSMS, PL/SQL Developer, Access, PODS)
  • Data Analytics Software (JMP, MiniTab, MATLAB, Power BI)
  • Programming Experience (VBA, Python, SQL)
