Overview
We're seeking an ESG professional to take a project manager and technical delivery role on the growing body of ESG due diligence projects, supporting corporate and private equity mergers and acquisitions (M&A). The role is at Senior Consultant level; it is anticipated that the successful candidate will have a minimum of five years environmental consulting experience with specific experience in the delivery of ESG due diligence projects, technical knowledge of materiality assessment, ESG-related regulations and assessment of ESG risks, as well as the ability and confidence to manage projects, liaise with clients and support colleagues in developing new business. Most importantly, they should be self-motivated, enthusiastic and able to work within an exciting, rapidly growing business environment.
Responsibilities
- Project management of EHS and/or ESG due diligence and transaction advisory projects to ensure they are implemented in a timely manner whilst ensuring technical excellence that meets our clients' needs;
- Managing subcontractors and partners as required to deliver project specific tasks;
- Managing and mentoring junior professionals within the practice team;
- Contributing to marketing efforts, identification of bid opportunities, management of key client relationships, attending client meetings;
- Preparation of proposals including formulation of work scopes and budgets;
- Liaison with US and UK colleagues to support projects efforts with a global footprint.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree (BSc) in an environmental science or engineering discipline (required);
- Masters degree (MSc) in an environmental science or engineering discipline (preferred);
- Minimum of five years of relevant consulting experience, ideally within an established ESG due diligence practice, with specific experience of corporate and private equity M&A support.
- Strong technical background in ESG risk assessment and management, with a strong knowledge of current and future core global ESG policy drivers, frameworks, legislation and best practice;
- Ability to work independently or in a project team with excellent problem solving, analytical, writing, and presenting skills;
- Experience of client liaison (e.g. meetings, presentations) and management;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and with the ability to generate and technically review reports;
- Commercial awareness, along with financial and time management skills;
- Ability to deliver to challenging deadlines, occasionally requiring extended working hours to meet client expectations, join conference calls in different time zones and manage global project teams;
- A broad knowledge of sustainability trends and business issues and experience of ESG, corporate sustainability and supply chain issues, would be advantageous;
- Subcontractor negotiation, management and control;
- Experience of working within a high-quality health and safety management system;
- Must possess a driving license and passport and be willing to travel internationally.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
