Overview
TRC is seeking a Regional Lead for our Renewable Energy Team for our Western Region. This position will work in tandem with multiple TRC sectors, practices and offices coordinating renewable energy opportunities and projects. The successful candidate will have established connections throughout the industry and record of success growing relationships and delivering high quality projects.
Responsibilities
Our Regional Leads:
- Maintain TRC’s values for safety, quality, integrity, creativity, accountability, teamwork and passion with operations as it relates to renewable energy;
- Generate new opportunities through an established network of solar, wind, energy storage and utility clients.
- Support and manage the execution of renewable energy services;
- Manage and maintain opportunity and project database and track important milestones;
- Manage client communications as necessary in coordination with the Market Director and Client/Account Managers;
- Mentor/advise newly added team members to provide understanding of the renewable energy program and associated work;
- Support business development and marketing function by coordinating the updates to marketing documents, attending conferences and communicating with potential new clients;
- Support the Renewable Team in communicating with TRC marketing and communications regarding trade show events, publications, press releases, blog posts, etc.; and
- Establish new client relationships and support growth of existing clients.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Planning, or Engineering related fields.
- 10 to 15 years of experience performing and managing the planning permitting, compliance, and engineering studies for utility, power generation and renewable energy projects.
- Proven track record with business development, business management and oversight of regional businesses.
- Experience managing cross disciplinary scientific and engineering teams and front-end project development projects.
- Strong business acumen and attributes, coupled with a commitment to TRC Values: Safety, Quality, Integrity, Creativity, Accountability, Teamwork and Passion.
Desired Requirements:
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- TRC’s strategic solar, wind and energy storage clients operate in the utility, power generation and renewable energy market. Expertise in these areas is a plus.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
