We are seeking an experienced Agile Project Manager to lead the development of our software products, specifically within the utility industry. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and possess the skills necessary to manage projects from inception through to closure. This role involves coordinating both offshore and onshore teams, overseeing software releases, and managing budgets, resources, and project risks. As a champion of Agile and Scrum methodologies, the Agile Project Manager will guide, coach, and mentor team members in their adoption, ensuring effective communication across all levels of the organization. The main objective will be to plan, execute, and deliver projects effectively following agile and scrum principles. This position will collaborate closely with Product Development, Operations, and Product Management teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities (Duties):
- Lead agile project teams using Scrum methodology to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Manage the full project lifecycle, from planning and development to implementation and closure.
- Create project and work plans for agile software releases.
- Coordinate and supervise activities of both onshore and offshore teams to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing updates on project status, presentations, and technical insights as required.
- Collaborate with development team and product owner(s) to understand the impact of changes on capacity and timeline.
- Oversee the planning, scheduling, and tracking of project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proactively monitor backlog(s) so requirements, resources, or infrastructure gaps for the highest priority work is identified and resolved prior to the start of the sprint.
- Ensure that all requirements, project plans, and changes to commitment are communicated to all affected stakeholders.
- Measure and monitor progress at clearly defined points in the process and take corrective actions, as needed, to deliver the project on time, and within budget.
- Proactively remove blocking issues within and external to scrum teams.
- Provide oversight and implement control processes for management of project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Coordinate and ensure completion of all deliverables from the various teams to accompany software releases.
- Organize and lead project status, working meetings, and scrum ceremonies.
- Champion the adoption of Agile and Scrum across the organization, providing coaching and training to team members to enhance their understanding and execution of these methodologies.
- Maintain a high standard of professional conduct and leadership, setting an example for team members.
Qualifications
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications are those an applicant must possess to be considered a candidate for the position.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Technology / Systems, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in technical project management.
- Proven experience as an Agile Project Manager in software development projects.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
- Proficiency in project management software tools, metrics, and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects from inception to closure.
- Experience managing budgets, resources, and project risks for software releases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred qualifications are not required for an applicant to be considered a candidate for the position.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
- Experience with MS Project/Smartsheet, JIRA, Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) and Agile methodologies (e.g., CSM, SAFe).
- Experience in the utility industry or related fields.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range
USD $115,000.00 - USD $130,000.00 /Yr.
