Overview

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Senior Proposal Manager to join our Strategic Proposal Team. You would be reporting to the Director of Strategic Proposals and would work closely with senior staff to develop winning themes and produce high quality proposals.

This position can be performed from various locations across the USA, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Austin, Houston, Boston, New York, and others.


Responsibilities

  • Manage the preparation of high-quality proposals and marketing materials, working with TRC technical, marketing, graphics staff, and teaming partners.
  • Lead proposal planning meetings. Help develop proposal themes, capture plan, schedule, and assignments. Bring TRC marketing philosophy and messaging to provide compelling value propositions on strategic pursuits.
  • Write new material/rewrite existing material to emphasize sales themes; collect and compile information from other authors. Interview staff to customize resumes and project descriptions to meet proposal requirements and messaging.
  • Support the company’s Energy, Environmental, Field, Infrastructure, and Digital operating sectors on strategic pursuits, as well as market sector staff pursuits.
  • Have vast experience with Regional Hub public marketplace and understand the various protocols for doing business with major cities. For example, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Austin, Houston, Boston and New York.
  • Manage red team/peer review process and finalize documents.
  • Assist in the preparation of short-list interview presentations using PowerPoint and other media.
  • Participate in developing partnerships and teaming.
  • Support key company sales initiatives through market research, development of the TRC message, and preparation of presentations and other marketing material.
  • Take an active role in the Strategic Team’s process improvement and knowledge-sharing activities
  • Implement proposal best practices on every proposal effort undertaken.
  • Potential for managing proposal staff.

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Fluent Knowledge of Microsoft Office and working knowledge of Adobe Products (particularly Photoshop, Acrobat and InDesign) are expected. Knowledge of QorusDocs is a plus.
  • Knowledge and proven success bidding with large state-sponsored agencies.
  • At least 10 years of proposal management experience in the Energy, Transportation, Infrastructure, Oil & Gas, and/or Environmental markets.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively with capture teams.
  • Experienced in managing multiple assignments with a good eye for detail and strong writing skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Proven record managing staff.
  • APMP or SMPS certification.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range

USD $79,997.00 - USD $110,011.00 /Yr.
