Overview
POSITION SUMMARY
TRC is currently seeking a Project Manager - Vegetation Management Permitting to join our highly successful Vegetation Management Program in the San Francisco Bay Area (specifically, Concord, San Francisco, Oakland, and San Ramon). The Project Manager - Vegetation Management Permitting will collaborate with the client and colleagues to ensure project goals are successfully aligned and progressing. The Project Manager - Vegetation Management Permitting will be responsible for understanding the nuances of the respective program regions and will communicate with and document for the successful cross-functional execution of teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include and are not limited to communicating field data collection needs, encroachment permitting package preparation and QA/QC, and coordinating between environmental and operational sectors. The ultimate responsibilities for this position are to oversee encroachment permitting constraint resolution and highlight and collaborate areas of opportunity and increased efficiency for the client to achieve or exceed year-end goals.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree or higher, along with 5-10 years of experience in permitting and/or planning. The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with exceptional communication skills, able to handle high-level client-facing tasks and adapt quickly to new strategies at the request of the client. It is crucial that the Project Manager - Vegetation Management Permitting have a strong understanding of customer service in a fast-paced consultant-to-client relationship.

Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
- Able to Create, Schedule, and delegate tasks to appropriate team members.
- Coordinate with Field Supervisors, project managers, and GIS and Data Staff to ensure all teams are aligned.
- Manage client relationships and project execution.
- Prepare and present project deliverables including reporting and production.
- Act as the primary point of contact with clients and oversee the preparation of high-quality planning and permitting documentation.
- Provide feedback and recommendations on systemic issues to various stakeholders.
- Verify corrective actions are implemented and validate effectiveness to prevent recurrence of issues.
- Demonstrate adaptability by being capable of performing a wide variety of tasks and being able to change focus quickly as demands change in an ever-changing environment.
- Communicate and influence effectively using excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external contacts of various levels.
- Work to create partnerships, promoting teamwork within and across groups.
- Collect, analyze, and present data to all levels of leadership.
- Provide reporting metrics to show how overall permitting and District specific areas are performing.
- Manage project compliance for quality control/assurance, and timeframe/milestone management.
- Provide proposal support and assist with business development efforts.
- Abide by company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate field efforts/new projects and priorities with Field Supervisors.
- Thorough understanding of client and TRC safety policies.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field. A Master’s degree or advanced leadership or technical experience are preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing teams of 15 or more people. 5 or more years preferred.
- Possess a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in planning and/or permitting, or equivalent education/work experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills are mandatory. Experience providing quality assurance and quality control of client deliverables preferred.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work well in both team and individual settings.
- Possess strong organizational and computer skills, including proficiency in GIS, document manipulation, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of PowerBI, OneVizion, ARCGIS, and Google Earth.
- Adept at utilizing Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, Power Point).
- Advanced Excel proficiency required.
- Must have a valid driver's license and driving record acceptable to TRC's insurance carrier.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range
