Overview
TRC Advanced Energy (TRC) is a nationally known energy efficiency consultancy. TRC collaborates with clients to develop and implement market transforming programs and initiatives that promote energy efficiency, renewable energy, and green building in multiple market sectors across the US and around the world. These initiatives reduce energy costs, improve the health and safety conditions of buildings, while also helping the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. TRC acts nationally to address some of our country’s most challenging problems: global climate change and energy independence.
TRC is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support the management of income qualified residential solutions programs in Kentucky. Through the program, we deliver home assessments, education surrounding energy efficiency and health and safety, and the installation of basic energy-saving measures to income-qualified residential customers in single family homes and multifamily properties.
This position will act as the Senior Project Manager responsible for a wide variety of functions related to the daily staff and program management, operations, and performance of program implementation services. The program also works with clients, customers, subcontractors and trade allies to improve the energy efficiency of residential homes and facilities across the territory.
The Manager should have a good understanding of the energy landscape of the region and relationships to help drive outreach strategy for pipeline development and innovative solutions to push projects to completion. A hands-on approach combined with technical knowledge is desired to push the team to achieve program goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a diverse, interdisciplinary team of outreach representatives, operations, field auditors and installers in the implementation of the energy efficiency audits and education, health and safety and measure installations for income-qualified residential single and multifamily owners and renters.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure that deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
- Manage budgets and perform resource planning.
- Oversee forecasting for project pipeline.
- Develop the business process and program infrastructure for energy program services.
- Develop strong partnerships with market actors, subcontractors, industry affiliates and other stakeholders.
- Develop program policies and procedures, including incentives and participation requirements.
- Deliver professional reports to program management and clients.
- Collaborate with other peer program managers to further develop energy program franchises.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Residency in Louisville, KY.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, planning, environmental science or related fields.
- 7+ years of relevant program implementation or large project management experience within the energy sector.
- Some travel may be required within the LG&E-KU service territories.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Understanding of energy efficiency and conservation in residential homes and multifamily buildings.
- Hands-on management experience in a fast-paced consulting environment with exceptional attention to detail and client service.
- Experience working in a Customer Relations Management (CRM) system environment to help design project requirements and workflows; work with CRM development teams to optimize program implementation.
- Success in developing and implementing plans and management of budgets and resources.
- Previous experience of building and leading complex and diverse teams effectively.
- Awareness and familiarity with Kentucky energy efficiency landscape, related regulatory requirements, and key players.
- Awareness of social, economic, and environmental contexts of statewide energy policies.
- Excellent oral, presentation, and written communications skills.
- Strong project management skills.
- Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range
