The Geotechnical Laboratory at TRC Companies is seeking a motivated individual to work daily performing Laboratory testing and necessary tasks.

The Laboratory is looking for a full-time technician that may perform some of the following tests but is not limited to:

• Aggregate and Soil Testing includes but is not limited to:
• Classification set up and testing- No. 200 Wash, gradation, Atterberg limit, hydrometer
• Bulk Sample Processing- set up, sieving, moisture prep
• Compaction/ Proctor Testing
• Sample processing
• Permeability testing- clayey soils, fine and coarse aggregates
• Concrete Testing
• Compression testing of concrete and flowable fill- cylinders, prisms, and cubes.
• Cylinder Check-in- concrete, cubes, thermal samples
• Other:
• Thermal testing- soil, thermal concrete, flowable fill
• Sample collection
• Paperwork and data processing
• Cleaning and organizing of the laboratory, garage, and other required areas used by the geotechnical lab- purging of archive specimens.
• Calibrations
• Equipment repairs

Requirement for the position are:

• Flexible schedule- during busy times: long days, weekends and/or nights when needed
• Ability to lift at a minimum 65lbs.

Desired qualities of individual are:

• Self-sufficient- possesses individual problem-solving skills when applicable
• Ability to read, follow, and perform all necessary tests following a procedure- SOP, ASTM
• Ability to remain on task, and perform tasks in an efficient manner
• Organized
• Patient
• Ability to work with a team, and independently

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
