Overview
TRC has an exciting leadership role in the Chicago, IL Infrastructure Market. Our ambition is to stand out through delivering to a standard that is truly exceptional in the industry. To do that we need exceptional leaders to help us grow and realize the opportunity.
We are looking for a Regional Director of Infrastructure for our hub operation in Chicago, IL who will manage the day-to-day operations in this rapidly growing region. The primary focus of the business is in the industrial water and wastewater, general civil, municipal, and rail /transit sectors.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Vice President of our Civil, Municipal and Facilities business, the role of Regional Director of Infrastructure is a senior leadership position responsible for managing and growing our business and our reputation in the Chicago metro area. This senior level role includes determining and delivering existing projects and programs, client engagement as well as developing the business development strategy and assuming the responsibility for generating new business, while building our proposition and our capability within the market. You will assume full responsibility for P&L and for the quality of our delivery within the Illinois market.

- Ensuring the team within the business unit is effectively structured, engaged and led. We are looking for someone who is an inspirational leader.
- Building strong relationships with clients and cross-functional team members. We are looking for someone who can quickly establish trust with clients, industry partners and colleagues and build a “One TRC” ethos.
- Securing business development opportunities with existing and new clients, including cross- selling opportunities regionally and globally. We are looking for someone who can leverage the strengths of the TRC enterprise.
- Leading the best team in the Illinois market so that we are recognized as the employer of choice. This will include identifying, attracting, retaining, and developing key talent to support you and the business.
- Identifying and managing risks effectively. We are looking for someone who has a strong commercial acumen.
- Create budgets, staffing plans, and maintain them on both the project and regional levels.
- Manage Resource Allocation in conjunction with other regions.
- Leads by example, demonstrating the attitudes and behaviors expected from others.
Key Accountabilities
- Meeting assigned KPIs.
- Responsible for the commercial performance of projects, key project staff assignments and initiatives, and managing staff utilization.
- Ensure timely preparation, coordination, and review of proposals, schedules, and budget estimates for client activities and pursuits.
- Ensure proper administration of business practice policies and procedures,, salary planning, employee development, and staff performance evaluations..
- Ensure regular contact with clients and proactively address any client concerns.
- Ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled.
- Lead, develop, and foster an innovative and collaborative work environment.
- Leadership with onboarding and training of new staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering (Professional Engineer certification (P.E.) in Illinois is REQUIRED).
- Ten or more years of experience in the management of a staff of Project managers, engineers, with profit and loss accountability.
- Ten or more years of experience with general civil engineering and municipal type projects.
- Experience with Class 1 railroads and/or transit agencies a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to guide, lead and develop internal teams to high performance levels, while offering a strong point of focus for the business.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range
USD $121,350.00 - USD $155,000.00 /Yr.
