Job Overview:

TESCO’s internship program offers motivated students hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing and technology environment. Interns will be placed with one of our core departments based on their interests, academic background, and career goals:

Available Departments:

  • Engineering - Software development, Product development and design, Testing, CAD modeling, electrical and mechanical design, and technical documentation
  • Information Technology - systems administration, cybersecurity, and help desk support
  • Marketing - Digital marketing, content creation, market research, and customer engagement
  • Operations - Manufacturing processes, quality control, supply chain, and continuous improvement

This program is designed to provide comprehensive exposure to your chosen field while developing professional skills applicable across industries. You’ll work on real projects that impact our business, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, and gain insight into how an established manufacturing company operates in today’s competitive marketplace.

Key Job Responsibilities: Responsibilities will vary by department

General Responsibilities (All Departments):

  • Support day-to-day operations and project initiatives within your assigned department
  • Collaborate with team members on cross-functional projects
  • Conduct research, data analysis, and prepare reports/presentations
  • Attend team meetings and contribute ideas and insights
  • Assist with documentation, process improvement, and special projects
  • Shadow senior team members to learn best practices and industry standards

Department-Specific Examples:

Engineering:

  • Assist with product design (electrical, mechanical, firmware), prototyping, and testing
  • Create and update technical drawings using CAD and Altium software
  • Support product development projects from concept to production
  • Participate in design reviews and testing procedures
  • Document test results and contribute to technical reports

Information Technology:

  • Support software development QA and debugging
  • Assist with network administration and system maintenance
  • Help with help desk ticketing and user support
  • Participate in cybersecurity initiatives and IT audits
  • Contribute to database management and reporting

Marketing:

  • Create content for social media, website, and marketing materials
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis
  • Assist with trade show preparation and event coordination
  • Support email marketing campaigns and analytics
  • Develop presentations and sales collateral

Operations:

  • Observe and support manufacturing processes and quality control
  • Assist with inventory management and supply chain activities
  • Participate in continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma) initiatives
  • Help with production and workflow optimization
  • Support safety programs and compliance documentation

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor's degree
  • Relevant major depending on department of interest:
    • o Engineering: Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related technical field
    • o IT: Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field
    • o Marketing: Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
    • o Production: Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 (on 4.0 scale)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Preferred:

  • previous internship or relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated leadership through campus activities, clubs, or volunteer work
  • Technical skills relevant to the department (CAD software, programming languages, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies
  • Experience with data analysis or research projects

Work Environment:

Location: On-Site at 925 Canal St. Bristol, PA 19007

Work Environment:

  • Professional office and manufacturing environment

Schedule Options:

Full-time: 40 hours per week (typical schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

Part-time: 20-30 hours per week (flexible scheduling available for students taking classes)
