Sublime Systems is seeking an experienced Procurement and Contracts Professional to join our owner’s capital project team to lead the design, construction, and commissioning of our first commercial plant in Holyoke, MA. This key role will report to the Project Director and be a key resource for establishing the purchasing and procurement platform for this and future projects.
We’re looking for a dynamic individual who is capable of simultaneously leading the procurement of engineering, consulting services, and construction services as well as overall responsibility for owner procured equipment and materials for a very fast paced project while building out the tools and processes for our Capital contracting and procurement.
The ideal candidate is passionate about safety, process efficiency, and a transparent, ethical, and fair procurement culture. Role will be Hybrid, based form home with significant travel to Somerville, Holyoke, MA., and vendor fabrication shops as required. The procurement group will expand under the lead in future project phases.
Responsibilities:
- Establish procurement platform, develop the team, and lead all procurement/contracting effort for the Holyoke Project
- Establish procurement platform for future capital projects
- Oversee and coordinate of all owner-purchased equipment
- Administration of all construction and engineering service contracts
- Participate in work-flow development and automation
- Tender and administer all contracts for FEL2/3 and oversee portions of the work as part of the owner project management team
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Chem E or ME
- MBA or formal financial training highly preferred
- 15+ years’ experience in capital projects
- Engineering and Construction Contract administration experience, required
- Project Management Experience, required
- DOE contract administration experience, preferred
- Ability to travel- Specifically to Holyoke and Somerville
- Championing safety, especially in the developmental process
- Transparent and ethical procurement practices
