Senior Quality Assurance Technician

Site 20/20 is looking for a Senior QA Technician to join our software development team. You will partner with product management and developers to deliver high-quality features for our customers. This is a key role in formalizing Site 20/20’s quality advocacy and testing strategies for our SaaS ERP and other products. What you'll do:
● Work as an integral part of the development team, and our SDLC to advance the quality of our solutions to deliver incremental customer and business value.
● Collaborate with team members, Project Manager, Product Manager, CTO and Stakeholders to understand and document the products’ requirements.
● Create and clarify user stories, drive test and validation strategies and look for opportunities to automate these strategies.
● Serve as source of truth about products features, enhancements and issues.
● Create and maintain project documentation.
● Communicate with customers on product requirements and enhancements.
● Conduct post-release testing and support.
● Improve the quality of our products and QA processes through advocating for the customer, performing manual testing, creating automated testing, and measuring the effectiveness of our efforts.
● Document and communicate improvements in quality to the team.
● Take part in planning meetings with the development team.
● Understanding the current goals and priorities.
● Create test strategies, test plans, test cases, bugs reports and other artifacts.
● Work with developers and DevOps to integrate tests into the product builds.
● Support the team to write unit tests for critical infrastructure.
● Define and implement changes to perform better in the next sprint.
What you’ll bring:
● A passion for delivering high-quality, non-compromise products to our customers.
● An understanding of how to work and communicate with the code authors to help them increase the quality of what they produce.
● Strong background in technical writing/ creating project documentation.
● 2+ years’ experience in a Senior QA Technician role within an Agile environment, working on web-based client SaaS products.
● Good business analysis/ product managements skills.
● Strong technical background.
● An interest in learning about the needs and requirements of the traffic control industry.
● Expertise with BDD principles and modern test automation frameworks and tools,
● That magical ability to break software when no-one else can :)
Key Skills:
● Strong communication and mentoring experience, ability to contribute innovative ideas and solutions.
● Strong focus on product requirements and documentation.
● Excellent communication and customer service skills.
● Ability to plan and execute QA activities in a fast-paced environment.
● Experience with Cypress or similar frameworks.
● Experience with project management software like Jira & Confluence.
● Use of tools like Scribe to efficiently document “steps to reproduce”.
● Ability to learn and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus Points:
● Hands-on experience with CI/CD technologies, deployment integrations, and pipeline validation.
● Experience directly testing React/Vue applications.
● Experience testing Android applications.
● Expertise with automating tests for Restful APIs on a modern test automation framework
● Understanding JavaScript/Typescript/Modern web frameworks
