About the role:

Job Title: Senior Solution Architect

Experience: 9+ years

Location: Pune

Department: Engineering

Reports to: Chief Digital Officer

A Solution Architect with Connected Mobility and Cloud skills is responsible for designing and delivering integrated technology solutions that leverage cloud computing to enable the architecture, development, deployment and management of connected mobility systems. These systems encompass connected vehicles, fleet management, OTA and analytics powered by cloud platforms such as AWS, or Google Cloud. The architect ensures scalability, performance, security, cost and innovation in the connected mobility space while maintaining cloud infrastructure management and cloud based system integration.

What you’ll do:

• Provide deep business and technical expertise to help customers and partners with architecture, design, and implement solutions
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, SRE, delivery managers and engineering teams to develop artefacts, demos, documentation, architecture walk-through, responding to proposals along with reference architectures
• Become a trusted advisor to customer stake holders, guiding them towards solutions on cloud based topics and resolve issues
• Expertise in in-vehicle software and architectures, edge computing, and off-board cloud-based solutions
• Strong technical skills, including the ability to clearly explain complex architectures to customers
• Exposure to the integration of cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) into connected mobility systems, ensuring the systems operate effectively in the cloud environment.
• Oversee cloud cost optimisation, scalability, performance and reliability of the systems
• Utilize cloud services such as data lakes, IoT services, real-time data processing, analytics platforms, and AI/ML tools to enhance mobility solutions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards related to data privacy, and industry-specific requirements, including GDPR and automotive regulations.
• Provide clear technical documentation, including solution architecture diagrams and data integration architectures
• Exposure to Mobile App architecture
• Ability to work in an agile development environment, balancing technical and business needs.

What you should know:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Solution Architect, Cloud Architect, or Systems Architect, with a focus on connected mobility and IoT
• Proven experience in designing cloud-based architectures for large-scale, mission-critical systems.
• Familiarity with cloud deployment models (e.g., hybrid cloud, multi-cloud)
• Cloud Expertise: Proficient in cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and experience with cloud architecture, services (compute, storage, networking etc.,) and cloud-native services.
• Connected Mobility: knowledge of connected vehicle technologies, telematics, IoT and real-time data processing systems.
• Software Development: Experience with cloud-native programming (Go, Python, Java, etc.), microservices, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and API development.
• Big Data & Analytics: Expertise in working with cloud-based data lakes, databases and analytics platforms to manage mobility data.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong experience in writing Golang in production
• Experience in designing and implementing systems for large-scale IoT devices
• Experience in working in a large-scale infrastructure team
• Has a good grasp of limitations and potential issues of different parts of the infrastructure
• Experience in setting technical directions for engineering teams
• Implementation and usage of a fully-fledge observability stack
