Position Summary
The Financial Analysis & Planning (FP&A) Intern will support the FP&A team by assisting with financial reporting initiatives, data validation and cleanup efforts, and process improvement projects aimed at increasing reporting efficiency. Reporting directly to the Corporate FP&A Manager, this role provides hands-on exposure to real-world financial analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
This internship is designed to offer meaningful learning experiences, allowing the intern to develop advanced analytical, technical, and communication skills while contributing to projects that support FP&A and Accounting team priorities.
Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities
- Support financial reporting initiatives by validating, cleansing, and maintaining financial data used in reporting.
- Assist with “clean-up” projects involving legacy files and datasets that contain outdated or excessive information.
- Help improve reporting efficiency by modifying data connections and applying advanced Excel techniques.
- Support the Accounting team with ad-hoc analytical and financial projects, as needed.
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously, effectively managing priorities and deadlines.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for Power BI reporting enhancements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Accounting, and other business partners.
- Communicate findings and progress clearly to peers and senior leadership.
- Ability to travel and/or work onsite up to 10% for business needs, company events, and internship program activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.

Experience & Qualifications
- High School Diploma required.
- Currently a Junior or Senior pursuing a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint), with a proficient level of experience in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
- Tech-savvy with the ability and willingness to learn internal and external systems.
- Strong understanding or interest in data validation, analysis, and modeling processes.
- A highly detail-oriented nature while also maintaining discretion when handling confidential information.
- The ability to act and operate appropriately in both a remote and in-office setting.
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to speak effectively with both employees of the organization and external vendors.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion.

- To facilitate working from home, and as a requirement for this role, the employee must provide reliable internet connection with sufficient bandwidth to execute all job functions and technology setup conducive to remote work. The company laptop will be provided.
- When working onsite, the employee will collaborate with colleagues in a typical office environment, which may require navigating office spaces, attending in-person meetings, and using shared office equipment.
- A quiet, distraction-free workspace is required for maintaining productivity.
- Collaboration with team members may occur through both virtual meetings and on-site interactions.
