Position Overview

The Regional Sales Manager South Central is a pivotal role directly influencing the future of RS Technologies. As a member of the sales team reporting directly to the Regional Sales Leadership, you will be responsible for the sales of RS's composite utility structures. This position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team exercising judgment and initiative.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to: Regional VP, Sales U.S. Direct Reports: None Sales Territory: U.S. - South Central (Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas)


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and achieve annual company objectives in the designated territory.
  • Promote and sell RS Technologies' utility and communication poles through manufacturers' representatives and distributor channels, focusing on customer diversification, product mix optimization, and backlog management.
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM daily to manage customer interactions and track sales activities.
  • Provide high-level responsiveness in both remote and field environments.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through clear, accurate, and detailed communication.
  • Deliver technical information effectively through presentations, financial analysis, and total cost of ownership models to influence customer decisions.
  • Identify and develop new accounts while collaborating with internal teams and external resources to drive growth.
  • Manage and expand account relationships across customer organizations, regularly assessing product and service effectiveness.
  • Represent RS at industry associations to strengthen brand presence and generate business opportunities.
  • Support tradeshow coordination as needed, maintaining professional conduct and adherence to company policies.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business, finance, technical, or engineering fields.
  • 5+ years of consultative sales experience in the electric transmission & distribution (T&D) industry, with a proven track record of measurable growth and success.
  • Strong industry knowledge, including current challenges and solutions.
  • Expertise in developing and executing account strategies for new and existing customers.
  • Proficient in Salesforce and financial selling tools to justify product value.
  • Demonstrated success in value proposition communication, product positioning, account strategy, new business development, and deal closing.
  • Experience managing manufacturers' sales representatives across multiple markets.
  • Proven ability to grow existing large accounts through new applications and solutions.
  • Strong project management skills, coordinating across engineering, customer service, and internal teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving skills, and a high sense of urgency.
  • ROI-driven approach with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in deal structuring and closing, including programmatic selling, manufacturing capacity sales, and complex consultative sales

Working Conditions/Other Requirements:

  • Engages with end-users, specifiers, and contractors in the utility and communication markets.
  • Ability to meet jobsite requirements and assist with customer product installation in field applications.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and Salesforce (mandatory).
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 80% to meet departmental and company goals.
  • Must have own transportation.
  • Ability to work remotely from a home office when not traveling in the sales territory.

JOB TYPE: Full-time

WORK LOCATION: Remote role based in TX (1: Houston, 2: Dallas preferred), with up to 80% required travel in the U.S. South Central territory.
