OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Quality Manger, the Resin Blending Operator is responsible for ensuring resin inventory levels are maintained to meet production requirements in a safe manner. As a member of the RS team, this position will support an organizational culture that cares for other's well-being through best practices in health and safety, in addition to the company's values of respect, integrity, quality, teamwork and professional growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Print required Batch Tickets for Resin Blending process
- Blending of Aromatic and Aliphatic resins according to module recipe specifications
- E-10 job entry /time and expense and closing of job
- Adhere to and maintain agitation schedule to ensure resins maintain a proper mix and ensure samples are brought to the Quality lab for required testing
- Maintain and document an accurate inventory count of chemicals used in the blending process
- Cut and prepare module "coupon" samples to quantity and size as per the sales work order
- Provide module samples for DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimeter) testing as required
- Assist the Engineering, Production and Quality departments in research, trial & development, selection of new processes and equipment and to participate in continuous improvement activities
- Assist in training and cross-training of team members
- Report all equipment or process related issues to the Production Supervisor
- Support RS Chemical Management Program
- Perform daily/weekly workplace chemical audits
- Ensure WHMIS compliance hazardous substance labelling
- Maintain chemical records and audit information
- Work with supervisory staff to resolve identified non-conformances
- Ensure chemicals are properly stored as per Safety Data Sheets and 5-S procedures
- Comply to all Company safety policies, Provincial and Federal rules, and regulations
- Support Health & Safety initiatives when applicable
Training / Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of manufacturing experience
- Forklift and Lift Truck certificate preferred (will train)

- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate computers, equipment, and tools.
- Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and occasional kneeling or crouching, as required.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and work safely in the assigned work environment.
Working Conditions
- Industrial manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to hot and humid conditions.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and other physically demanding tasks.
- Regular interaction with heavy machinery, powered industrial equipment, and moving mechanical parts.
- Exposure to production materials, including limited interaction with manufacturing chemicals while following all required safety procedures and PPE requirements.
