THE OPPORTUNITY
We're seeking a proactive and technically skilled Maintenance Supervisor to support plant operations and equipment reliability. Reporting to the Manager, Facilities & Maintenance, you will lead daily maintenance coordination, troubleshoot equipment issues, and partner closely with skilled trades and production teams to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient operations.
In this role, you will oversee work orders, support preventative maintenance, interact with vendors, contribute to safety initiatives, and participate in continuous improvement and Lean activities. WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Lead daily maintenance operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient equipment performance across the plant.
- Review downtime reports and shift summaries to identify issues, coordinate repairs, and minimize production interruptions.
- Support and guide skilled trades staff, providing troubleshooting assistance and technical direction as needed.
- Oversee work order management, including creation, scheduling, parts coordination, and follow-up to ensure timely completion.
- Partner with Production, Quality, and other departments to address equipment concerns and maintain operational readiness.
- Drive safety compliance by coordinating safety-related work orders, corrective actions, and lockout system administration.
- Manage vendor coordination for facility services, maintenance support, and equipment-related needs.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, Lean activities, and hazard remediation efforts.
- Support annual shutdown planning, including scheduling, resource coordination, and execution oversight.
- Monitor maintenance inventory levels and ensure critical parts and supplies are replenished.
- Assist with annual budget input and capital project planning to support long-term maintenance and equipment reliability strategies.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Technical diploma or degree in a related field (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Maintenance).
- 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, including coordination with skilled trades.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose equipment issues and lead timely repairs.
- Experience using and managing CMMS systems for work orders, maintenance planning, and documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate tasks, and follow through in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and industrial safety best practices.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Ability to interpret technical information, maintenance data, and equipment performance reports.
- Comfortable working in an industrial environment with exposure to heat, humidity, chemicals, and heavy machinery.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed to support critical maintenance activities.
