THE OPPORTUNITY

Under the general supervision of the Quality Manager, the Quality Auditor II - Lab performs routine tests to verify quality and consistency in all products manufactured in RS production facilities. As a member of the RS team, this position will support an organizational culture that cares for other's well-being through best practices in health and safety, in addition to the company's values of respect, integrity, quality, teamwork and professional growth.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct quality tests on all finished resin batches and raw materials to maintain product quality by adhering to RS testing methods and specifications
• Maintain lab safety and cleanliness
• Conduct receiving inspections of hardware and other production related materials
• Conduct other specialized lab testing, destructive testing, module sample testing
• Document and control testing and inspection results using Microsoft Office tools, Epicor, and Quality Portal
• Prepare accurate and detailed test reports that can be presented to the Chief RS Chemist
• Support the Quality, Engineering, and Purchasing teams during development of new products or processes, new suppliers, or with supplier quality concerns
• Perform calibration of inspection gauges and tools and maintain records
• Conduct other pre-production, final product, and shipping inspections as required
• Assist in developing quality related documentation and standards
• Inform Quality Manager of any discrepancies in tests or inspections
• Serve as backup for other quality positions
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Quality Manager

WHAT YOU BRING

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience, Post Secondary preferred
• Three (3) years' experience at RS or within a Quality role
• Detailed-oriented, ability to multi-task, and strong analytical and communication skills

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Industrial laboratory and production environment
• Time critical support required
• Interaction with chemicals, heavy machinery, and moving equipment
• Hot & humid areas within the plant (indoor/outdoor)
