THE OPPORTUNITY


We're seeking a safety-focused and organized Production Supervisor to support daily plant operations and lead frontline production teams. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will oversee day-to-day production activities, troubleshoot issues, support cross-training, and work closely with Quality and Maintenance teams to keep operations running efficiently.

As part of the RS Operations team, you will play a key role in ensuring our composite utility poles are produced safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

WHAT YOU WILL DO


Lead and support daily production operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality output.
Foster a positive and professional work environment aligned with RS values and safety expectations.
Asist with production scheduling, staffing, and cross-training to ensure adequate coverage and operator competency across all production areas.
Monitor production flow, proactively address issues, and collaborate with Quality and Maintenance teams to resolve concerns and minimize downtime.
Facilitate daily shift communication meetings and ensure completion of monthly safety talks.
Ensure production schedules, quality standards, and output targets are consistently achieved.
Verify availability of required materials and supplies to support uninterrupted production.
Support continuous improvement initiatives, including evaluation and implementation of new processes, equipment, and workflow enhancements.
Track attendance, support PTO scheduling, and apply progressive discipline in accordance with company policy.
Maximize employee utilization during downtime by assigning productive and value-added tasks.
Ensure full compliance with RS safety policies, PPE requirements, and applicable state and federal regulations.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment.
Perform other duties as assigned to support overall plant operations.

WHAT YOU BRING


• Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in leadership or supervisory role.
• College diploma or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and established safe work practices.
• Required certifications, or willingness to obtain: First Aid, Lift Truck, Overhead Crane, Fall Arrest.
• Health & Safety certification preferred not required.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial setting with exposure to heat, heavy machinery, and chemicals.
• Capable of performing physically demanding tasks while maintaining a safety-first approach.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, and support frontline production teams.
