THE OPPORTUNITY
RS is looking for a detail-driven and proactive Materials Planner to join our growing Materials team. That will be reporting to the Materials Manager. In this role, you will play a key part in keeping our production running smoothly by planning schedules, coordinating materials, and supporting efficient manufacturing operations. You'll work closely with Production, Purchasing, and Order Preparation teams to align schedules, manage capacity, and ensure our products are delivered on time.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Develop daily production schedules and winding lineups aligned with production targets and resource availability.
- Forecast production activity up to 8 weeks ahead and maintain a 4-6-week order preparation schedule.
- Collaborate with Production and Purchasing to ensure materials and inputs are available and production plans align with capacity and delivery priorities.
- Generate and distribute production documentation, including work orders, load diagrams, and module templates.
- Track and analyze daily production performance using Excel and ERP systems.
- Monitor scheduling performance, identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, and support a safe, compliant manufacturing environment.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Diploma or Associate Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Accounting, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in production planning or scheduling in a manufacturing environment
- Strong skills in Excel and ERP systems (Epicor experience is a plus)
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and collaborate across teams
