THE OPPORTUNITY
The Human Resources Coordinator reports to the Sr Manager, Human Resources and is a key administrative support role within the HR team. This position is responsible for supporting employees, supervisors, and managers across all functions within the plant; and keeping day-to-day HR functions organized and accurate. As a member of the RS team, the HR Coordinator helps foster an organizational culture that cares for others' well-being through strong administrative practices, clear communication, and alignment with the company's values of safety, respect, teamwork, and resilience.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
HR Administration and Employee Support:
- Serve as the first point of contact for general HR inquiries, directing employees to appropriate resources or escalating to other HR members as needed.
- Assist employees with onboarding and Dayforce inquiries.
- Handle administrative employee requests including access badge issuance, printing pay advices, and answering basic pay-related questions.
- Support the leave of absence process by assisting with paperwork, tracking status, and maintaining follow-up with employees and managers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, files, and documentation. Respond to employment verification requests.
- Process position changes, shift transfers, and terminations in HR systems.
Recruitment and Onboarding Support:
- Coordinate administrative aspects of recruitment, including posting open positions, scheduling interviews, tracking candidates, preparing offer letters, and maintaining recruitment records.
- Assist with internal and external job postings.
- Coordinate onboarding logistics for new hires, including paperwork, system entry, orientation scheduling, and coordination with hiring managers.
- Enter new hire and maintain employee data in Dayforce, and other systems as required.
- Support temporary staffing administration, including maintaining relationships with staffing agencies and preparing weekly payroll reports.
- Track employee referrals and ensure accurate documentation and system entry.
Employee Experience and Engagement:
- Assist with employee recognition, appreciation programs, and engagement activities within the facility.
- Support benefit administration by assisting employees with enrollments, life events, and basic benefit questions.
- Promote a positive, organized, and approachable HR presence within the facility.
Compliance, Documentation Support, and Reporting:
- Assist in ensuring compliance with Company policies and applicable Federal and State employment regulations.
- Ensure HR documentation and reporting are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide administrative reporting to management regarding absenteeism, headcount, and staffing needs as requested.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Support compliance efforts within an ISO 9001:2015 registered work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING
- College Diploma or University Degree required. Preference for a degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
- Minimum 2 years Human Resources experience required.
- Experience supporting benefits administration and basic knowledge of ACA compliance preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Proficiency with HRIS system; experience with Dayforce considered an asset.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- Knowledge of employment standards and basic health and safety regulations.
- Experience working in ISO 9001:2015 registered work environment considered an asset.
