Ring is looking for a qualified, innovative, and experienced Site Technical Manager to join our growing organization. In this position, you will oversee, plan, direct, and coordinate activities that support contractor/suppliers and the manufacturing process for our products. Engineering aptitude, a high attention to detail, leadership skills, and the ability to optimize the production process are necessary for this role. The Site Technical Manager will formalize the contractor’s production processes and procedures, and strive for continuous productivity and quality improvements.
Key job responsibilities
- Document current production procedures to e-standardized, and create company standards for improving the production efficiency among contractors/suppliers.
- Collaborate with the quality department to identify and implement ongoing quality improvements.
- Maintain knowledge and technical expertise of current production best practices, tools, and techniques and implement them in a reasonable manner.
- Develop and implement production processes for products, product enhancements, and product changes. Review the design and installation of related fixtures and tooling, as required.
- Develop and implement enhanced production testing of products.
- Minimize overall production costs while maximizing productivity.
- Collect, analyze, summarize, and present production and process data, information, and trends to management.
- Create and maintain accurate and current documentation of tool drawings, design concepts, and orders in accordance with the Product Development and Quality Assurance functions.
- Source new equipment and material suppliers as required.
- Support and review process engineering change notice (ECN) and related Material Review Board (MRB) activities, as required.
- Assist in the evaluation of returned materials/products.
- Review contractor/supplier’s operational facility layouts for process improvement.
- Organize and Support the Manufacturing/Quality System on top of composing the integrative system management.
- Define and focus on different production lines to ensure quality.
- Define and initiate tasks.
- Autonomous planning for team; gives input when requested while defining roadmap.
- Make proposals for problem solving of bottlenecks.
- In-depth technical knowledge; knows the effects of deviations within sub system/module on performance of the total system.
- Lead cross-competency teams for escalation resolution and design improvements.
- Technical team leader that contributes to the development of sub-modules, and has a responsibility for the results of the sub modules.
- Know, understand, define, and improve processes and working instructions.
- Breakdown complex technical or tool problems.
- Able to give direction irrespective of technical certainties within own level of competence.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 8 years of manufacturing/production engineering experience, with specific experience in electronic devices.
- Deep knowledge of manufacturing, production processes, and concepts.
- Creative with the ability to use modern technology in the production process.
- Strong presentation skills (written and oral).
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to take initiative, meet deadlines, and prioritize your workload with minimal supervision.
- Able to interpret and apply policies and procedures appropriately.
- The ability to network and interact effectively with a broad range of associates spanning varied disciplines and responsibilities.
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Visio, AutoCAD.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards.
- Experience of FMEA skill such as Kaizen (continuous improvement and problem solving) process improvement and Poka Yoke (error proofing) techniques.
- Experience in the electronics industry (device assembly methods and procedures), with direct RF/camera industry experience.
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Access, Microsoft Project.
- Familiar with Manufacturing Execution System, Quality Management System, and ERP System.
- Good command of English and Chinese
