Blink was the result of one of the most successful crowdfunding campaigns ever and is now part of Amazon Devices, the consumer electronics division that brings you the Kindle, Fire Tablets, Fire TV, and Echo. We are in the home security business to provide customers affordable products that protect their home and loved ones. Blink is easy to setup and use, and through differentiated ASIC technology we offer best-in-class two-year battery life. This combination creates a straight forward, low maintenance experience for our customers that provides full home security coverage.
The Head of Category Management will define and manage the execution of Blink’s category strategy and growth plan. This includes many foundational elements of Blink’s evolving growth strategy, including product positioning, pricing, promotional, and channel. With a focus on North America, the role will be the single-threaded-owner of Blink’s category leadership strategy, leveraging customer, competitive, product and channel intelligence to define the business requirements for new product introductions and sales strategies. A responsibility of this role is to drive priority across the Blink organization to deliver the business-critical needs of Blink’s current and future customers.

We are looking for motivated self-starters that can work in an extremely fast paced environment. The successful candidate can be a single-threaded owner of Blink’s category strategy, and build out the vision for core components of Blink’s fast-growing North American business. This role drives Blink’s long-term strategy to maximize growth through product positioning, pricing, and growth optimization e.g. subscriptions strategy. The role will own key components of Blink’s 3-year planning and influence strategic decisions, with visibility to the top levels of senior management in Amazon Devices.

Key job responsibilities
- Design and drive the execution of the Blink growth strategy for key products
- Provide data-driven insights into the product roadmap and Blink leadership
- Identify net new growth opportunities and influence the organizational strategy across internal teams
- Build a team that supports growth and expansion
- Co-ownership of Blink’s P&L and contribution to new-product definition and introduction strategy

About the team
Blink is in the home security business to provide customers affordable products that protect their home and loved ones. The Blink Growth, Strategy, and Business Intelligence team designs the strategy for Blink's business, one of the fastest growing consumer electronics companies in the world.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 10+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- 6+ years of team management experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience engaging and influencing senior executives

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $142,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $265,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
