Quality Manager

DESCRIPTION
The Quality Manager (QM) is responsible for ensuring that our products are manufactured for quality. During new product development (NPI) phase, the QM will establish Quality Control plans for critical processes and develop an out of box audit (OBA) process for factory production based on critical customer user cases of the product. With guidance from the engineering team and product software QA team, the QM will work with ontract manufacturers in delivering a sound OBA process that validates product HW/SW functionality, content of package and product cosmetics to ensure that Ring continues delivering high quality products to customers.
The QM will also handle factory quality in the sustaining production phase of the product. To monitor production performance against established quality goals by conducting regular factory audits, full investigation and failure analysis leading to root cause determination, subsequent closed loop corrective action. They are also responsible for new supplier onboarding capability assessment and line qualification. A successful candidate will be responsible for writing documents, developing quality procedures or quality reports, planning and implementing quality mechanisms to the organization. In addition, the candidate will also initiate quality pre-alert for any quality escapes from the factory and lead cross-functional teams in problem solving activities to provide effective issue resolution.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineer, Electrical Engineering or other technical disciplines
• 10+ years of experience in consumer electronics manufacturing, quality control, or relevant technical roles
• Experience in leading quality audits
• Demonstrated expertise in injection molding, PCBA, FATP assembling and assembly of lens module (e.g. image sensors, lens barrel, IR cut filter, etc).
• Proficient in English communication
• Knowledge of FMEA, Quality Control Plans, SPC, MSA, GR&R, PPAP, and other statistical analysis
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in working at multinational companies with ODM background is a plus
- Ability to create and innovate quality deliverables and processes during NPI stage
- Development and sustaining program management experience
- Ability to influence others and interact at all levels within the organization
- Ability to deal with ambiguity
