What this role is about:
In the Senior Associate, Commercial Strategy role, you will serve as the execution engine for our CEO on the highest-priority commercial opportunities. You'll own driving cross-functional commercial initiatives from scoping through pilots - managing senior executive relationships, surfacing opportunities, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.

You'll be expected to operate as a trusted thought partner to our CEO and senior leaders - bringing structure to ambiguity, preparing executives for high-stakes commercial meetings, and proactively identifying what needs to happen before anyone asks. If you thrive in high-expectation environments and want to apply that rigor in a fast-moving, mission-driven company, this role is built for you.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage the CEO's commercial pipeline: track all active opportunities, own follow-up cadences, surface risks and next steps, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks across a high-volume deal flow.
  • Produce executive-quality deliverables: Own the creation of presentations, briefing documents, and memos that are polished, precise, and ready for any audience.
  • Drive creative pricing and deal structuring: work alongside the CEO, our sales & marketing leadership, and finance teams to model deal economics, develop pilot frameworks, and pressure-test commercial terms.
  • Identify and frame emerging opportunities: proactively scan the market and inbound pipeline, synthesize what you're seeing, and bring the CEO a clear POV and recommended path forward.
  • Support special projects on an as needed basis: may include fundraising, M&A, and key partnerships

What we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:

  • 3-4 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, or an Office of the CEO / strategy function - you've worked in high-expectation environments and delivered.
  • Exceptional communicator: You write and present with precision and confidence. You can distill complex situations into clear narratives for executive audiences.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented: You initiate follow-up without being asked, catch things that fall through the cracks, and operate multiple steps ahead.
  • High executive presence: You're comfortable engaging with senior leaders directly (can act when needed as a liaison for our CEO), managing up, and pushing back constructively when needed.
  • AI-native: You are comfortable with the latest AI tools, keeping up to proactively improve your workflows and output
  • Based in NYC (some flexibility for SF) and able to come into the office 3-4 times a week; expect to also join our Founder & CEO to meet with prospective customers & partners

What we offer:

  • The chance to work with a passionate team on solving one of the largest challenges globally
  • Competitive salary and benefits and equity participation
  • A dynamic, flexible and fun start-up work environment with a highly talented team
