About the Role – You Will:
- Assemble or produce component parts into completed units while maintaining a quality standard. Team member will need to perform adjustments, setups, and troubleshooting of equipment.
- Maintain acceptable performance standards for assembly: Safety, quality, production, and housekeeping (5S requirements).
- Follow all quality and process standards and guidelines; Inspect work to ensure compliance.
- Inspect parts or completed units by using visual inspection, gages, check fixtures, or other inspection equipment.
- Identify abnormalities in the assembly process and help develop solutions.
- Engage in continuous improvement activities.
- Other duties as assigned by management.

- This position will be part of the Greenville based Battery Production team that supports Proterra’s Manufacturing and Engineering operations in Greenville, SC.
- You will report to the Site Production Supervisor and collaborate with other Production members.

Your Experience Includes
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 to 3 years of experience in high volume assembly manufacturing. Experience in electro-mechanical assembly preferred.
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in running automated equipment preferred.
- Familiar with Torque Tools, and other hand tools: Wrench’s, Wire Strippers, Screwdrivers, and drills.
- Ability to Follow Work Instructions. Physical Demands:
- May work various shifts as needed; may be requested to travel to different locations.

- Lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds. The heaviest module that we have is 83 pounds and requires 2-man lifting.
- Able to walk, stand (100%), crouch (5-10%), bench (0), kneel (0), lift (up to 100% of day), carry (5-10%) and reach (constantly) as needed in large and tight spaces.
- Good eye/hand coordination and ability to identify color variations, depth perceptions and close or distance visual items.
- Manual dexterity with occasional repetitive finger motion.
- Environmental Demands:
- Ability to work in manufacturing environment with extreme heat and cold conditions.
- Wear protective clothing or respiratory protective equipment.
- Works with irritant chemicals, gases, etc.
