Aeris Technologies Inc, a subsidiary of Project Canary, PBC, designs, manufactures, and commercializes the next-generation of laser-based gas analyzers used in a variety of applications such as quantifying greenhouse gas emissions, atmospheric pollutants, and natural gas leaks. Aeris Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our production team. The Assembly Technician will be responsible for assembling, testing, and troubleshooting components and systems. This role requires precision, technical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, and test gas analyzer components and systems based on detailed schematics and technical instructions.
  • Perform final inspection and quality checks on assembled units to ensure they meet product specifications and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or electrical issues during assembly, ensuring proper functionality of systems.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including engineers and quality assurance personnel, to resolve any technical challenges.
  • Maintain accurate records of assembly work, including documenting test results, parts used, and any issues encountered.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, offering suggestions for process enhancements and optimization.
  • Follow strict adherence to quality control procedures and industry standards to meet customer expectations.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical certifications or an associate degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, or related fields preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in assembly or manufacturing roles, with a preference for experience in the assembly of gas analyzer or related technology sectors
  • Proficient in reading technical assembly instructions
  • Strong mechanical skills
  • Soldering skills
  • Ability to work with various hand and power tools
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with team members and other departments
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Confluence/Jira, etc.)
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Manual dexterity and the ability to work with small components and tools

  • Salary range: $65,000 - $75,000 annual base
