Why Powin for your Internship?

Our Software Engineer Intern will be working on the cutting edge of energy storage technology. You’ll be introduced to a new world of ideas and stand on the frontlines of the effort to enable renewable energy sources, working side-by-side with experienced and innovative industry professionals. This is an opportunity to not only gain valuable, hands-on experience, but make contributions towards literally changing the world. This internship will provide the opportunity to shadow different members of the Engineering team and learn the fundamentals.

Job Duties:

• Collaborate with team to develop new software for Powin’s energy storage system. This position focuses on application logic and integration with third-party devices
• Work with firmware, system, and UI developers to create and maintain system software
• Work with senior software engineers to learn new technologies, strategies, and tactics as you build your career
• Participate in testing and troubleshooting tasks to help the team overcome challenges

Qualifications:

• Currently working towards a BS, MS, or relevant engineering program such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Proficiency in Java is a plus
• Must be graduating within one-year from internship 2023-2024
• Understand fundamental computer science concepts and ability to write well-organized code
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other engineering teams while able to work independently; detail-oriented and execution focused
• Willingness to learn our products
