ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and support financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with GAAP and IFRS, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with GAAP and IFRS.
  • Ensure timely tax filings (VAT, corporate tax, payroll taxes) and liaise with tax authorities.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Coordinate with auditors and ensure compliance with internal controls and local regulations.
  • Improve financial processes and reporting efficiency.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

Specifically, we are looking for someone with the following toolbox:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
      • Minimum 3+ years of experience in accounting.
      • Strong knowledge of Greek tax laws and accounting standards.
      • Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel.
      • ACCA, CPA, or equivalent certification is a plus.
