Mandate:
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Product Officer (CPO) to lead our product strategy and development. This position will sit on the Executive Leadership Team, report directly into the CEO, and be a key interface to the Board of Directors. The CPO will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our product offerings, ensuring they align with market needs and the company’s strategic goals. This executive will lead a talented product team, drive innovation, and enhance our competitive position in the renewable energy market. The candidate must be based in Greater Boston area and will work remotely from home office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with the company’s vision and market demands.
- Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire the product management team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape; use insights to inform product direction.
- Product Development Oversight: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from concept through development to launch, contributing to timely and high-quality delivery of products.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, marketing, and customer support, to ensure alignment and success of product initiatives.
- Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to gather feedback, validate ideas, and ensure product offerings effectively meet their needs.
- Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and inform future enhancements.
- Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation within the product team, encouraging creative solutions and new ideas.
- Budget Management: Oversee the product budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with strategic goals.
Competencies Required:
- Proven experience as a Chief Product Officer or in a senior product management role in software.
- Industrial tech or renewables background is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of product development methodologies, including Agile and Lean.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, with a track record of successful product launches.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
