ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytically minded individual to join our dynamic marketing team as a Marketing Analyst. This role is pivotal in supporting Marketing and collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather market and competitive intelligence to guide strategic GTM decisions. This role also facilitates seamless communication between marketing, sales, product, and customer success teams, and contributes to the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) for strategic initiatives.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Market Intelligence:

  • Partner with strategic team members to conduct thorough research and analysis of market dynamics, customer behavior, and industry developments to provide insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor and report on market dynamics, sizing & segmentation, identifying opportunities and threats as critical intelligence to guide business growth.
  • Assist in developing targeted marketing strategies for specific customer segments.

Competitive Intelligence:

  • Gather intelligence on competitors' strategies, product positioning, and marketing tactics to inform our competitive advantage.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop effective battle cards and competitive positioning materials, partnering with product marketing and enablement to operationalize the insights.

Customer Insights:

  • Leverage data to understand customer needs, preferences, and trends.
  • Work with sales and CS to develop and institute a win/loss review program to help guide GTM decisions.
  • Create customer profiles (segment/persona) to inform marketing strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with product marketing and product teams to understand product roadmaps, features, and enhancements, ensuring alignment with market demands.
  • Partner with marketing, sales, and customer success teams to facilitate communication and ensure a unified approach to market positioning and customer engagement.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing strategies based on data-driven insights and market research.
  • Action market & competitive intelligence through recommendations to Demand Gen & Prod Marketing.

GTM Performance:

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives, tracking KPIs and ROI for various activities.
  • Analyze sales data, website performance and social media metrics.
  • Aggregate data into integrated dashboards to help visualize marketing performance.
  • Work cross-functionally to identify and quantify KPIs to support value-creation efforts (messaging, selling, and realization).
  • Work with Product Marketing and Customer Success to build customer champions, serving as a liaison to better understand the VOC (voice of the customer).
  • Leverage the inputs above to make strategic recommendations to improve performance.

Communication and Presentation:

  • Clearly communicate complex data findings and insights to stakeholders.
  • Present actionable recommendations to support marketing strategy development and opportunities for strengthening revenue growth.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

    • Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
    • 3+ years of experience in marketing analysis, strategy, competitive intelligence, or a related role.
    • Experience in energy or renewables vertical is required.
    • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Strategic thinking and ability to translate data into actionable insights – ability to bring the data story to life in a compelling way.
    • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Familiarity with the energy industry is preferred.
