ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a positive track record able to coordinate internal and external resources to support fulfilment of utility scale SCADA projects. The Project Manager will coordinate with sales staff, technical managers, support personnel, suppliers, clients and other stakeholders to manage fulfillment of Powerfactor’s utility scale projects. The Project Manager’s primary responsibility is to oversee projects from sales through commissioning, ensure successful handoffs between cross-functional teams and serve as the primary client interface for SCADA systems for Renewable Energy Sources. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with local team members, as well as interact on a regular basis with other company resources, experts and management located in other parts of the world. This is achieved through the candidate’s natural collaborative spirit, tactical communications, prompt and timely execution of deliverables and is measured by the customer experiences from their interactions and business cooperation.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Coordinates, facilitates and enforces project implementation; follows and maintains the project execution plan; fulfills and invoices milestones; and closes the project
  • Monitors Project progress on a daily basis maintaining strong communication with clients. Ensures that Clients emails and requests are acknowledged and answered in a timely fashion.
  • Adopts, follows and enforces the Company processes, uses of project or task level tools, identifies inefficiencies and contributes to process enhancements
  • Receives the project from Sales, and helps to clarify the project scope, deliverables and plan
  • Closely cooperates with the Client in clarifying project matters (plan, deliverables, resources, resolving issues)
  • Maintains and updates the project plan with particular attention to invoicing
  • Closely cooperates with the project specific people (TM, engineers, subcontractors) as well as with other Inaccess project-related persons (Sales, Client/Owner Account Manager, Head of Delivery, Team leaders, Regional directors) as needed for smooth project implementation
  • Maintains a good understanding of the Project implementation status, plans or contributes to planning of and follows Project-related tasks within Inaccess internal workflows
  • Closes the project, hands it over to the Support team, and evaluates results
  • Coordinates with team leaders and department managers to define the scope of work for assigned projects and develops statements of work, work breakdown structures, task estimates as well as specific tasks and milestones.
  • Contributes to and coordinates comprehensive project documentation with special attention of Client documents
  • Participates in Coordination Meetings; presents progress reports, problems and solutions to other stakeholders
  • Identifies assumptions and project constraints (technical, schedule, resource, and budget) and develops Risk mitigation plans
  • Identifies required tasks that are outside the Project’s contracted scope, documents, discusses, submits and executes change orders to the Client.
  • Leads and ensures quality assurance in the Project deliverables
  • Ensures and enforces proper HSE rules when the project team is onsite

Specifically, we are looking for someone with the following toolbox:


SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • MS/BS in Electrical or Automation/Power Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience on a similar role
  • Experience with renewable energy sources or SCADA
  • Good understanding of Power systems, Power grids, Renewables
  • Manage competing priorities, and multiple projects with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Proven experience and skills in project management and a strong understanding of formal project management methodologies
  • Experience delivering projects in a timely manner
  • Experience using Microsoft Project, Jira and Google Suite with a willingness to learn new software and tools
  • Able to interface directly with various levels of customer engineering and management staff
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in other languages is a plus.
