Service Operations Manager (Warranty) (FTC - 12 months)

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will be responsible for managing the Service Coordinators and delivering on the service department operational objectives. This is a 1 year fixed term contract to cover maternity leave, and will require you to have a comprehensive background in people management and reporting.

A key part of the role involves overseeing the ordering of parts and scheduling of service jobs to ensure efficient support of myenergi product warranties.

You will work closely with your peers in the Operations Team to drive continuous improvement and deliver change across the department.

What will my day look like?

Work Delegation, Monitoring & KPI Management

Work with the Team Leader to host team stand ups to assess workload, provide regular support as well as general announcements

Allocate the work for each member of the team based on their geographical area and day to day capacity

Monitor work quality, including customer and sub-contractor communications, technical installation assessments, and scheduling efficiencies.

Ensure the team meets team and business targets such as general customer satisfaction and response times, on-site resolution times, field resource and part allocations.

Reporting & Strategy

Daily Monitoring and managing of the Service Job Tracker

Monthly Reporting on departmental targets

Conduct regular check-ins with LTD and GB stakeholders to monitor targets, address escalations and improve processes and inter-departmental relationships

Operational Demands

Support in handling escalations, including last-minute scheduling, ordering goods, and dealing with complaints

Responsibilities:

Supporting the team through the implementation of new business systems and processes.
Development and implementation of standard operating procedures, set standards and best practice approach, and drive continuous improvement.
Continuous review and process improvement to reduce administration, build automation, and drive efficiency.
Work alongside the Field Operations Manager and wider team with the transition to insource delivery of field service work.

Qualifications & Experience:

Previous management experience.
Ability to produce management reports which track and report against KPIs.
Diligent, articulate, with keen attention to detail, and renown for being able to "roll-up sleeves" when required.
Prior experience within the industry is desirable but not mandatory.
Excellent communication, networking skills, and outstanding leadership skills with the ability to quickly build trust and influence all levels of an organisation.
An analytical approach to problem solving with the ability to meet deadlines, targets and schedules.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft 365 and other business systems.
