The Role
Moxion is at the forefront of innovation in the temporary power and energy sectors, and as we continue to expand, we are looking for a dedicated and dynamic Manager of Business development to lead our BDR team. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our sales strategy and drive significant revenue growth. You will work closely with the marketing and sales teams to ensure a steady pipeline of qualified leads, and you will mentor and guide your team to achieve their targets.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of Business Development Representatives to achieve individual and team goals
  • Provide training and development to ensure the team is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement lead generation campaigns
  • Oversee the BDR team’s efforts in prospecting, cold calling, and emailing potential customers
  • Ensure the team builds and manages a robust pipeline of qualified leads to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
  • Analyze sales data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Implement best practices for lead generation and qualification processes
  • Optimize the use of sales tools such as Salesforce, Coda, Apollo, SalesConnector, MixMax, Monday.com, and Grain.
  • Work closely with Account Executives to ensure seamless handoff of qualified leads
  • Foster strong relationships with potential customers and keep them informed about Moxion’s latest updates and offerings
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure alignment of campaigns and sales strategies
  • Stay informed about industry trends and market conditions

Skills to be successful:

  • 3-5 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in a startup environment
  • Proven track record of managing a team and achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Experience managing complex projects and using creative experimentation to drive results
  • Ability to independently manage and lead a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities

Pay Equity
Moxion is committed to the principle of pay equity – paying employees equitably for substantially similar work. Compensation displayed is a range. Maximum amounts are reserved for those candidates that exceed all experience and background requirements. We reserve the right to offer compensation based on level of experience. Moxion has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay within the San Francisco Bay area. If you live outside that region, the range is subject to change.
Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within the range provided above. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
