As our Global Supply Manager, Metals, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing our Procurement capabilities in this category. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will take sourcing and strategy ownership of categories such as fabricated sheet metals, coatings, and product livery.

What you’ll do:

  • Oversee RFQs as the owner, ensuring comprehensive agreement and documentation of all commercial terms. Guarantee the negotiation and proper handling of Non-Disclosure Agreements, General Terms & Conditions, Piece Price Agreements, and other relevant contracts before commencing business activities.
  • Guide the negotiation of piece prices and tooling, ensuring that commodity pricing aligns with World-Class standards. Simultaneously, uphold Supplier Industrialization standards for World-Class quality. Drive ongoing efforts for cost reduction and avoidance through ad-hoc price negotiations.
  • Cover all aspects of category management, including business plans, market conditions, technology roadmaps, cost modeling, and sourcing strategies.
  • Stay informed about global industry trends, monitor technology roadmaps, and collaborate closely with Design teams to recognize and address supply and demand challenges. Detailed to commodity price tracking down to a metal index level.
  • Oversee relationships and performance with respective suppliers, handling dispute resolution, supplier scorecards, and conducting periodic business reviews.
  • Actively participate in design reviews, change control meetings, and technical discussions with Engineering partners. Engage in Design for Manufacturability reviews with Engineering partners and potential suppliers, prioritizing decisions from a cost perspective
  • Demonstrate proficiency in comprehending technical drawings and specifications, coupled with a solid knowledge of manufacturing process controls and quality assurance within the commodity space. Effectively communicate with technical stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Lead cross-functional teams to effectively manage project timelines, utilizing action trackers, Gantt charts, and other program management tools to ensure the timely delivery of supplier parts according to Program timing.
  • Communicate critical supply, cost, and/or quality issues to management teams and develop corrective action plans to mitigate identified risks.

Skills to be successful:

  • Hands-on procurement or supply chain management experience in a fast-paced and diverse environment, preferably with experience in metal commodity management.
  • Contract negotiations
  • Experience managing stakeholders in a cross-functional setting
  • Demonstrated ability to manage short deadlines and take decisions with limited information
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to work across multiple teams and their leadership
  • A natural drive for negotiations
  • Detail-oriented, self-starter, resourceful and able to manage shifting priorities across multiple projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Demonstrated ability to positively and effectively interact with internal and external customers/suppliers
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment and drive people towards common objective
  • Excellent computer proficiencies in Word, Excel, and Powerpoint

Maximum amounts are reserved for those candidates that exceed all experience and background requirements. We reserve the right to offer compensation based on level of experience. Moxion has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay within the San Francisco Bay area. If you live outside that region, the range is subject to change.
Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within the range provided above. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
