The Role
As Moxion's first DOT and Compliance Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with all Department of Transportation (D.O.T) regulations and guidelines within our organization. Your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and thorough understanding of D.O.T policies will be crucial to maintaining our commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with D.O.T regulations and guidelines
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of D.O.T regulations and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders within the organization
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify any potential compliance issues and recommend corrective actions
  • Manage all records and documentation related to D.O.T compliance, including driver qualification files, vehicle inspections, and training records
  • Coordinate and conduct training sessions for employees to ensure awareness and understanding of D.O.T regulations and safety protocols
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for D.O.T.-related inquiries and external audits, responding promptly and providing accurate information
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including drivers, fleet managers, and safety personnel, to address any compliance concerns and improve overall D.O.T performance
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and advancements in D.O.T regulations to proactively identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes
  • Prepare reports and presentations on D.O.T compliance metrics and present findings to senior management

Skills to be successful:

  • In-depth understanding of D.O.T regulations, guidelines, and industry standards
  • Demonstrated ability to stay up-to-date with the latest changes in D.O.T regulations and effectively communicate these changes to relevant stakeholders
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures for D.O.T compliance
  • Proficient in using relevant software applications, such as fleet management systems and compliance tracking tools
  • Proficiency in managing records and documentation related to D.O.T compliance, including driver qualification files, vehicle inspections, and training records
  • Familiarity with conducting internal audits and managing external audits by regulatory authorities
  • Strong analytical skills to identify compliance issues and recommend corrective actions
  • Ability to analyze compliance metrics and develop actionable insights for improvement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey D.O.T-related information clearly to internal stakeholders and cross functional partners, as well as respond to external inquiries

Maximum amounts are reserved for those candidates that exceed all experience and background requirements. We reserve the right to offer compensation based on level of experience. Moxion has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay within the San Francisco Bay area. If you live outside that region, the range is subject to change.
Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within the range provided above. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
