We are looking for enthusiastic, strong sellers, who are willing to go above and beyond to enable the educational institutions in their sales territories through the many offerings of The School Planner Company. As part of the School Planner Company this role will work within their sales territory to seek out new and existing relationships with educational institutions. Our core product is a fully customizable student planner that helps bridge the communication gap among teachers, students, and parents.

In summary, in this role, you will actively work to grow our new customer base through our product offerings.

Key Responsibilities

Consultative Selling
  • Prospect and qualify leads to find Sales Qualified Opportunities
  • Establish and develop positive customer relationships through in-person meetings, phone calls, and email
  • Achieve sales targets within a defined period
  • Find solutions that work for opportunities based on product offerings
  • Provide customers with accurate information regarding products through samples, demos and price quotes
  • Provide excellent customer service

Account Planning
  • Research and be an expert in your sales territory including K-12 schools, universities, community colleges and education programs in order to understand the best way to approach your niche market and key contacts
  • Organize and implement a sales plan to aid you in achieving your sales goal
  • Report on sales activity and performance in your territory towards your goal
  • Utilize CRM to document, strategize and implement ongoing sales efforts

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of sales experience in printed materials or education
  • Knowledge of your state's education procurement requirements
  • CRM Experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of Products and Google Applications
  • Exceptional phone etiquette
  • Exceptional written communication skills
  • Ability to meet and exceed individual sales targets and performance metrics on a consistent basis
  • High energy, passionate and self-motivated with a strong work ethic

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Education, Marketing, or relevant degree
  • 3 or more years of outside sales experience in printed materials or education
  • Existing relationships with educational institutions in a professional format

  • Agility: Remain positive and composed when faced with new information or approaches
  • Communication Skills: Listen to understand and ask clarifying questions when messages are unclear
  • Performance and Results Driven: Use personal energy, drive and commitment to establish and sustain an action-oriented mindset
