The Senior Manager of M&A Integration will be responsible for leading and managing the post-merger integration process for the company’s acquisitions. This role ensures the successful integration of newly acquired businesses, maximizing synergies, achieving operational efficiency, and aligning the acquired company with corporate objectives. The Senior Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, HR, IT, operations, and senior leadership, to drive the integration plan and monitor progress.

What you’ll do:

Integration Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop comprehensive integration plans based on due diligence findings and acquisition goals.

  • Collaborate with the M&A team, senior leadership, and business unit leaders to define integration objectives, KPIs, and timelines.

  • Design and implement integration frameworks and processes to streamline activities.

Project Management:

  • Lead end-to-end project management for the integration, ensuring milestones are achieved on time and within budget.

  • Create and maintain detailed project plans and timelines for integration activities.

  • Identify and resolve integration risks and issues through collaboration with functional teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the acquired company and internal stakeholders.

  • Work with finance, HR, IT, legal, operations, and other relevant departments to integrate key systems, processes, and personnel.

  • Ensure alignment of business objectives, culture, and operational functions between the parent company and the acquired entity.

Change Management:

  • Drive effective change management strategies to minimize disruption and promote a smooth transition.

  • Engage and support employees from both companies during the integration process, ensuring clear communication and training.

  • Address and mitigate any cultural, operational, or structural challenges during integration.

Financial and Operational Synergies:

  • Identify potential synergies and efficiencies, both financial and operational, between the acquiring company and the target.

  • Monitor the realization of synergies, report progress to senior leadership, and adjust plans as needed to achieve targets.

Performance Tracking & Reporting:

  • Develop KPIs and metrics to measure the success of the integration.

  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on integration progress, budget adherence, and synergies achieved.

  • Conduct post-integration reviews and apply lessons learned for future acquisitions.

Qualifications

What you have - Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field (MBA preferred).

  • 7+ years of experience in M&A integration, corporate development, or related fields.

  • Proven track record of managing complex M&A integrations from start to finish.

  • Strong project management experience, with PMP or similar certification a plus.

  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.

  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of synergy identification.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

  • Experience with change management and cultural integration.

  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in M&A integration tools and methodologies.

  • Results-driven with a focus on delivering value and achieving strategic goals.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work across multiple levels of the organization.

  • High level of emotional intelligence and adaptability.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
