Overview:

  • The Data Services roles will play a key role in supporting customer onboarding and data management, primarily focusing on bulk data uploads, basic data maintenance, utility data collection, and assisting customers with data collection. This role ensures the accuracy of customer data in the system, working closely with cross-functional teams to support timely and effective data delivery.
  • This position is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and solid data management skills, who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and providing support to both internal teams and customers.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

The essential functions and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Onboarding & Uploading

  • Bulk Data Uploads: Manage the bulk uploading of new property and asset data into the platform, ensuring accuracy and proper formatting of data templates.
  • Data Collection: Directly contact utilities to collect customer data. Manage data collection information across multiple utilities, customers and methodologies. Assist customers with the collection and submission of necessary data, ensuring all information is ready for import. Work closely with the Solutions Delivery Manager to coordinate data gathering.
  • Meter and Space Setup: Help property managers set up meter information and space breakdowns, ensuring accurate mapping in the platform.

Data Monitoring & Maintenance

  • Data Monitoring: Monitor data feeds to identify and report any issues or discrepancies. Work with property managers and other stakeholders to resolve data gaps or errors.
  • Data Integrity: Conduct data quality reviews and perform completeness checks to ensure customer data is accurate and up-to-date. Escalate any major issues to senior team members for resolution.
  • Historical Data Maintenance: Assist with the maintenance of historical utility data by collecting missing information from property managers and ensuring all relevant data is uploaded into the system.

Customer Support & Collaboration

  • Customer Assistance: Serve as a point of contact for customers on basic data inquiries, guiding them through data submission processes, bulk uploads, and troubleshooting common issues.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Provide regular updates to the Customer Delivery Manager on data progress, ensuring that any challenges or delays are communicated promptly.
  • Post-Sales Data Support: Assist with the initial data setup post-sales, supporting bulk data imports, manual data entry, and addressing ongoing customer needs related to data management.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Status Updates: Provide regular status updates on data completeness and quality checks to internal teams and customers.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of data submissions, customer communications, and data integrity checks for reference by internal stakeholders.

Education & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in data management, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 1-4 years experience in data management, ops or services role, preferably in a climate or sustainability SaaS or technology-driven environment.
    • Working understanding of ESG or sustainability reporting is preferred.
    • Experience with bulk data uploads and general data processing is required.
  • Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets to ensure accuracy.
    • Proficiency with Excel and data entry tools, along with a basic understanding of CRM or project management systems.
    • Effective communication skills for assisting customers and working with internal teams.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Ability to manage routine data tasks and meet deadlines in a structured environment.
    • A collaborative attitude and willingness to learn new data tools and processes.
    • Ability to work independently while contributing to a cross-functional team.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities

Compensation Range:

  • $68,000 to $85,000
