Overview:

  • The Marketing Events Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and executing a variety of events to support Measurabl's marketing objectives. These events may include trade shows, conferences, product launches, webinars, and other corporate events that enhance brand visibility, generate leads, and foster customer engagement. This role requires a dynamic, detail-oriented, and creative professional with strong project management skills who can balance strategic planning with flawless event execution.

    Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Marketing, the Marketing Events Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, creative, and external vendors. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of executing high-quality events while maintaining budget and time constraints, driving measurable results, and continuously improving processes.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

The essential functions and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
  1. Event Strategy and Planning:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive events strategy that aligns with Measurabl’s broader marketing goals, including brand awareness, demand generation, lead nurturing, and customer retention.

    • Support the annual event planning process, identifying key events, conferences, and trade shows that align with target market and business priorities.

    • Proactively research industry trends, competitors, and event innovations to ensure the company remains a leader in creative, cutting-edge events.

    • Set specific objectives for each event, including attendee engagement, lead generation, brand positioning, and ROI. Develop clear KPIs and metrics to measure the success of each event.

    • Collaborate with internal teams to develop event themes, messaging, and key visual elements that resonate with the target audience and reinforce brand identity.

  2. Event Logistics and Production:

    • Oversee the entire lifecycle of event planning and execution, including venue selection, contract negotiation, vendor management, and coordination of all logistics.

    • Ensure seamless on-site or virtual event execution by managing timelines, overseeing event setup, coordinating staff, and handling last-minute changes or issues that may arise.

    • Manage event registration, attendee communications, travel arrangements, and any special requirements such as accessibility needs or VIP accommodations.

    • Lead post-event evaluations, gathering feedback from attendees and stakeholders to assess successes and areas for improvement.

  3. Event Marketing and Promotion:

    • Assist in the development and execution of comprehensive marketing plans to promote events, utilizing a range of digital channels including email campaigns, social media, content marketing, and paid advertising.

    • Work with content and creative teams to develop promotional materials, such as brochures, event landing pages, videos, and social media content.

    • Assist in the coordination of speaker recruitment and management, ensuring speakers are briefed, equipped with necessary materials, and align with the event’s goals.

  4. Stakeholder and Vendor Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including internal departments (sales, product, marketing) and external partners (vendors, sponsors, exhibitors).

    • Negotiate contracts with event vendors such as venues, caterers, audio/visual companies, booth designers, and promotional item suppliers.

    • Serve as the main point of contact for sponsors and partners, ensuring their participation enhances the event and delivers value to both parties.

    • Manage exhibitor relations at trade shows, ensuring that booth design, setup, and attendee experience are consistent with company standards.

  5. Budget and Financial Management:

    • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring all events are delivered on time and within budget, while maintaining high-quality standards.

    • Track and manage all event expenses, including vendor payments, travel costs, and promotional materials. Provide regular updates to senior management on budget performance.

    • Seek opportunities for cost-saving measures without compromising the quality or effectiveness of events. Negotiate pricing with vendors to optimize budget efficiency.

  6. Post-Event Analysis and Reporting:

    • Provide detailed post-event reports, analyzing performance against established KPIs such as lead generation, attendance, engagement, and revenue contribution.

    • Collect and analyze attendee feedback to identify areas for improvement and inform future event strategies.

    • Develop recommendations for optimizing future events, focusing on continuous improvement and innovation.

  7. Team Collaboration:

    • Collaborate closely with the broader marketing team to ensure events are fully integrated with the company’s content, social media, and demand generation strategies.

    • Partner with the sales team to ensure event-generated leads are properly handed off and followed up, optimizing conversion rates and lead quality.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in event management, marketing, or related disciplines, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality events on time and within budget.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and build strong relationships with vendors, sponsors, and stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in event management software, CRM platforms, and digital marketing tools (e.g., Salesforce, Marketo, Eventbrite).

  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

  • Flexibility to travel and work irregular hours as required by event schedules.

Skills:

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex logistics.

  • Proficiency in budget management and financial reporting.

  • Experience with virtual event platforms and hybrid event formats.

  • Ability to lead a team and inspire collaboration across departments.

Compensation Range:

  • $80,000 to $100,000
